Tara is a mental health therapist at POP, who specializes in supporting families with children 0-5 years old. She started her career as a teacher and child welfare worker, then provided behavioral support to children in a school-based program. She later pursued her master of social work and infant mental health certification at Erikson Institute. She has expertise in early childhood social emotional development, perinatal mental health, and trauma. Her clinical experiences include 0-3 developmental assessments, OB/NICU hospital setting, Fussy Baby Network, and a pediatric clinic. While she follows the family and child’s lead in therapy sessions, her approach is informed by the following interventions: DIRFloortime, Child Parent Psychotherapy, Trust-Based Relational Intervention, Fussy Baby Network Facilitating Attuned Interactions, and Circle of Security. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, beach days, boxing, reading, and music.
