THERESA BAKULA

Theresa Bakula has been working in pediatrics since she graduated with her Master’s of Science in Occupational Therapy in 2007. Her inspiration for becoming an occupational therapist developed from having a nephew born prematurely with hemiplegia. Her nephew, Matthew has overcome many obstacles and is now completing his first year of college. Theresa has worked in a variety of settings including non-profit and private practice as well as in children’s homes as an Early Intervention provider. Her treatment includes a play-based approach within the context of a nurturing relationship. She believes that therapy should be fun and should support children in living their best lives. When not working at POP, Theresa enjoys being with her daughter, spending time outdoors, traveling, and reading.
